Tour de Trail »Choose from a 5K or 10K trail run that starts and finishes at Avid Fitness Center Ltd. This course is not flat — 10K runners climb up over 500 feet of elevation by mid-point — but the course is very "run-able" with only a little bit of single-track and very little pavement. There are some muddy sections — expect to get dirty! |

Loon Lake Race »This is a dead flat 13.2 kilometre wheelchair accessible trail around the very edge of the lake. It starts and
finishes at a fully serviced campground with a full-time caretaker. The weather at the end of September is practically flawless in Powell River. Where
else in coastal BC can you run on 13+ kilometres of wide manicured trail around a lake without even a bump? The biggest single gain of elevation —
The Hill — is about 8 to 10 vertical feet!!!!! As well, for people or youth wanting to run a shorter distance, there is the Anthony Island 7k —
an out & back utilizing the first 3.5k of the full lake trail — again, dead flat. Proceeds to Special Olympics. |

This is strictly a fun run and we hope that participants will dress in red & white festive wear. Treats will be available post-race & participants can feel good about helping those in the community less fortunate than themselves. Last year we raised $1300 and we would like to surpass that this year. |
